按照预定计划，王天桥等人来到了滁州的琅琊客栈。当夜，马德才便指使老于去除掉潘慎之，结果被擒。马德才便带着黄四转移了。而饭冢的人也赶到了这里，准备进行最后的决战。王天桥等人来到醉翁亭，终于在这里找到了第一箱掩埋的文物，一件宋代汝窑笔洗，一幅董其昌的山水立轴。老张带着小龙下山，中途遭遇了马德才的打劫。饭冢的人已经和陈丹凤、秦少川、白露交上了火。一时间，琅琊客栈枪声大作。枪声惊动了滁州的日军，他们赶来增援。老徐带着新四军江南支队迎面阻击，山上上下打成了一片。饭冢劫持了陈丹凤，以此威胁王天桥交出已经找到的文物。但是，敌人的阴谋最终还是破产了！沮丧不堪的马德才杀了黄四，最后也自杀了。等大家返回上海时，听到了日本天皇发布无条件投降的消息，激动万分。八年抗战，中国人民胜利了！不久，饭冢被遣送回国。他万万没有想到，王天桥会来给他送行，并带来了配好的两颗假牙。饭冢感动不已，为自己在中国犯下的罪行深深鞠躬道歉。望着饭冢远去的背影，王天桥想，如果没有这场战争，这个世界将是多么美好啊！
